‘T’ Space receives grants from National Endowment for the Arts for 2023 Exhibitions

April 17, 2023

We are grateful and excited to share that ‘T’ Space has received two National Endowment for the Arts grants for the 2023 Season: one for Ann Hamilton, and a second for Torkwase Dyson.

Hamilton is internationally acclaimed for her large-scale multimedia installations, public projects, and performance collaborations. Her site-responsive process involves common materials to invoke particular places, collective voices, and communities of labor. Hamilton’s attention to sound, tactility, architectural presence and environment will translate at ‘T’ Space within the gallery’s unique spatial energy and natural surround.

Torkwase Dyson is an artist working across multiple mediums to explore the continuity between ecology, infrastructure, and architecture. Her work has been widely exhibited in galleries and museums around the world. Most recently, Dyson presented two brilliant solo exhibitions: A Liquid Belonging, at Pace Gallery (2022) and a monumental outdoor piece by the same name as part of Desert X (2023).

Both artists will debut new work at ‘T’ Space in solo exhibitions this Season. Torkwase Dyson’s sculptural installation will take place June 4 – July 9 followed by Ann Hamilton’s exhibition which will run from July 16 – August 20.

This project is supported in part by the National Endowment for the Arts. To find out more about how National Endowment for the Arts grants impact individuals and communities, visit www.arts.gov.
